Waitlist Privacy Notice

Effective as of the date this page is first published, and as updated thereafter.

This notice explains how Lumaat ("we," "us," or "our") handles the information you provide when you join our waitlist at this page. It applies only to this waitlist page. Once the Lumaat app launches, use of the app itself will be governed by our full app Privacy Policy.

What We Collect

Your name and email address, submitted through the form on this page.

Why We Collect It

• To address you by name and notify you when Lumaat launches.
• To occasionally send related updates about Lumaat before or after launch (for example, beta access, major feature news, or MSA/mosque rollout announcements). We don't send frequent or unrelated marketing.

By submitting your name and email, you consent to receiving these messages from us. Every email we send will identify Lumaat as the sender and include a clear way to unsubscribe. You can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing us directly.

How We Store and Protect It

Your name and email are stored securely in our database and are not sold or shared with third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes. We use Supabase to store and manage waitlist data, and may use an email delivery provider to send waitlist communications; these providers only use your information to operate the waitlist and deliver these communications on our behalf. We may also send your email to a disposable-email detection service so throwaway addresses cannot join the waitlist.

International Data Transfers

Our waitlist database is hosted in Canada. If you sign up from outside Canada, your information will be transferred to and processed in Canada, which may have different data protection laws than your home country. By joining the waitlist, you consent to this transfer.

Your Choices & Rights

• Unsubscribe from any email using the link it contains.
• Request deletion of your name and email from our waitlist at any time by contacting us below.
• Request access to the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it's inaccurate.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, contact us below.

Data Retention

We retain your name and email on the waitlist until the app launches and you become an app user, or until you request deletion, whichever comes first. If you don't request deletion, we may retain your name and email for a reasonable period after launch to complete our transition communications before removing them from the waitlist system.

Children's Privacy

This waitlist is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Notice

We may update this notice from time to time, for example, to reflect a new service provider or a change in how we handle waitlist data. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check back periodically. Continuing to remain on the waitlist after a change means you accept the updated notice.

This notice covers only the data collected on this waitlist page. It will be replaced or supplemented by Lumaat's full app Privacy Policy once the app is available.
